FRIDAY'S FEAST - NOVEMBER 30, 2007

Forget on time, I am EARLY this week!!!!

Feast One Hundred & Seventy
November 30th, 2007
Appetizer
What is your favorite carnival/amusement park ride?
I really enjoy the skyride, although apparently I am the only one because they keep closing them down. I also like the teacups.

Soup
How do you react in uncomfortable social situations?
I fidget and I get itchy. I also become combative. If I am very uncomfortable and you are the only person in the room I know, expect me to be short with you and cling to your side simultaneously. It doesn't happen often anymore, and it's not a pretty sight.

Salad
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy discussing deep, philosophical topics?
Depends on my mood and even more so on the group involved. If you're a pompous blowhard then I'd rather skip it, but I enjoy a deep conversation with the right people on about the level of an 8.

Main Course
Did you get a flu shot this year? If not, do you plan to?
No, and not likely.

Dessert
Approximately how many hours per week do you spend watching television?
between 7 and 10

R.I.P. WINDOWS 98

After 6 faithful years of service, through law school and job hunting and the bar exam, my laptop has finally died. My internet access outside of work has gone from spotty to non existant - thus why Friday's Feast has been missing. I am in the process of setting up an interim computer.

If anyone knows how to extract data from a laptop that will only boot up in SAFE MODE using a memory stick I would be forever grateful. [The CD ROM is dead and the replacement machine doesn't have a 3.5 drive and the machine won't recognize the USB memory key in Safe Mode, so I stuck.]

VETERAN'S DAY THANK YOU

A heartfelt thanks to all of our veterans, past and present and armed forces personnel. Your great effort and numerous sacrifices are are so much more appreciated than any words could express.

If you want a more tangible way for civilians to show gratitute to the men and women who make up our armed forces then consider this idea; when you are filling out holiday cards this year add just one extra to your pile. Address it to:

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW

I am sure there other, similiar efforts out there for the other branches of service. Feel free to post info in the comments or shoot me an email and I will add it to this post!
